Dusk came to us in July 2024 after a kind community member involved in TNR work reached out. She had spent three days trapping several kittens with eye infections, and Dusk’s case was the most severe. He was barely surviving in the scorching Arizona heat with a ruptured left eye, infection in his right eye, ringworm, timid and unsure of the world.

But oh, how things have changed.
Now, Dusk is a confident young cat who’s made many feline friends at the sanctuary. His left eye has healed beautifully, and his spirit has only grown brighter.

Among all his buddies, one stands out—Chowder, our sanctuary dog. Dusk absolutely adores her. He’ll take breaks from his feline playdates just to snuggle up with Chowder, often making sleepy biscuits before curling up beside her at night.

He is a reminder of how resilient, adaptable, and full of heart our Suncatchers are. From surviving the desert heat to building deep friendships, Dusk brings joy, energy, and a little bit of nighttime magic to our days.
