Millie joined Suncatcher Sanctuary in October 2023 after a kind couple found her and took her in. Wanting to find the perfect safe place for her, they searched far and wide—leading her to us.
Millie was born with microphthalmia in both eyes, meaning her eyes are much smaller than usual. While she may not see the world the way other cats do, that doesn’t stop her from exploring it—quietly, at her own pace. She is a gentle soul, naturally reserved, but her curiosity leads her to investigate new places in the most delicate of ways. She enjoys playing with a wand toy if you initiate it, but she won’t make a big fuss—just a few graceful swipes before she’s content to observe again.
When she wants attention, she lets out a distinctive little meow and happily accepts head pats. Though it takes time for her to warm up, once she does, she’s the sweetest girl who will gladly accept an invitation to nap on your lap.
Millie’s quiet presence is a soft kind of magic, and here at the sanctuary, she is safe, loved, and free to bloom in her own time.
