Ocean joined Suncatcher Sanctuary in November 2023. He was first found as a stray with severe eye issues and was taken to an emergency hospital. From there, he was transferred to the humane society, where both of his eyes were surgically removed. But even without his sight, Ocean doesn’t see it as a limitation. He quickly adapted to life at the sanctuary and has been lighting up the place with his sunshine spirit ever since.
Like Evie and Pepe, Ocean was immediately welcomed by the other cats and made fast friends. His favorite activity? Playing with crinkle toys! The second he hears that delightful rustling sound, he kicks into high gear, pouncing with joy.
But let’s talk about his other passion… food. Ocean’s sense of hearing is nothing short of superpowered. Even if you try to sneak into the kitchen for a snack in total silence, he’ll be the first to show up at your feet, looking up with that unmistakable “share with me?” face. At this point, we’ve accepted that snacks are no longer a solo activity.
Despite his playful and mischievous ways, Ocean is also a total cuddle bug and a champion napper. He insists on sleeping right next to you every night and is always the last one to wake up in the morning—tucked in, cozy, and completely unbothered. With the perfect mix of adventure and affection, Ocean is like a little sunbeam in cat form, warming everyone he meets.
