Wilbur joined Suncatcher Sanctuary in November 2023 after being brought to the humane society. He was found crying outside an apartment building—still wearing his adorable pink strawberry-print collar—and was listed as a stray. Despite his sweet appearance, Wilbur had some medical challenges. He had microphthalmia in his left eye, which was non-visual, and his right eye suffered from eyelid agenesis, causing his eyelashes to rub against the cornea. His left eye was removed, and he received corrective surgery on the right.

He also experienced urinary issues due to mucous buildup in his bladder, and now takes a daily supplement to help manage it. Though he was a bit delicate in the beginning, Wilbur has transformed into a stunning, confident cat with a luxurious black-and-white coat and the longest whiskers you've ever seen. He’s also become one of the larger cats at the sanctuary—both in size and personality!

Wilbur is a true social butterfly. He greets guests with ease and has made many feline friends along the way. One of his favorite pastimes? Grooming his buddies with care and love. Wilbur’s affectionate and friendly nature makes him an irreplaceable part of our sanctuary family!
